Strategy

Sinophi acquires, develops and grows private healthcare businesses in China.

Sinophi’s long-term goal is to develop a network of private hospitals. In the shorter term we are building our integrated healthcare delivery platform comprising hospital management, pharmacy outsourcing and the provision of hospital supplies. This platform will create a solid foundation to secure and direct patient flow to our acquired hospital and specialty businesses.

Sinophi’s delivery platform is designed to be scalable and flexible enough to adapt to China’s continuously changing market and regulatory environment. The platform will establish control over patient flow by managing general hospitals through long-term management contracts. Highly specialized medical disciplines rely on referrals for business. Patients will be referred from our managed hospitals to our privately owned facilities, in turn helping the managed hospital to better meet demand.

Sinophi’s focus includes developing such referral-dependent specialties including orthopaedics, oncology, neurology/stroke rehab and cardiovascular. We will also develop less dependent specialties including dermatology, ophthalmology, maternity and ENT. The acquired specialties will scale in locations where our managed hospitals can refer patients to ensure high utilization.

Geographically, Sinophi’s strategy is to focus on a small number of provinces with the strongest economics and most transparent governance.

We will leverage our platform by working as an integrator to extract synergies across our acquired facilities, including combining purchasing power, marketing, branding and sharing key clinical, management, training and administrative resources.

In Sinophi facilities we will implement standard operating procedures across facilities to ensure consistent quality standards.

In Sinophi-invested companies we will implement strong corporate and clinical governance practices and centralize the internal and financial control functions.
